This project examined the work of one exemplary teacher network, the Philadelphia Teachers’ Learning Cooperative (PTLC). Funded jointly by the MacArthur/Spencer Professional Development Research and Documentation Program, this study investigated effective and adaptive forms of professional development for teachers working in urban schools. Through an analysis of PTLC’s extensive archive, current meetings and case studies of teachers, RFA analyzed the knowledge this group has generated over the past two decades about teaching and learning in urban settings.
