About Molly Pileggi
Molly Pileggi is committed to using research to improve educational outcomes for students and to empower teachers. She has content expertise in the transition to high school and extensive experience in out-of-school time. She also has technical expertise in quasi-experimental designs as well as efficient data processing and management.
Currently, Pileggi is the co-director and quantitative lead of evaluations of nearly twenty 21st Century Community Learning Center providers in the Philadelphia area. She is also leading a quasi-experimental study of the impact of participation at Boys & Girls Clubs programming across four states. Pileggi also contributes to research focused on the high school transition and graduation rates conducted in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia through the Philadelphia Education Research Consortium.
In all her research, Pileggi brings contextual experience as a former middle school science and high school math teacher and as a founding board member of the first university scholarship program in Guyana. She received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2006 and a master’s degree in International Education Development from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013.
