About Mary Eddins
Mary Eddins is a Research Associate at RFA. Mary primarily focuses on K-12 education policy research and co-leads the Allegheny County Education Research (ACER) and the Pennsylvania Clearinghouse for Education Research (PACER) projects.
Eddins has extensive experience working in the field of education both inside and outside of the classroom. Eddins leverages this experience in support of her projects at RFA, including policy research on topics such as teacher workforce, school discipline, and student access to opportunity in K-12 public schools. Eddins is deeply committed to leveraging research and evaluation to achieve educational equity.
Prior to joining RFA, Eddins began her career as a literacy teacher working predominately with middle school students in Oklahoma and later in her home state of Pennsylvania. She later led recruitment efforts in the Pittsburgh area for a national nonprofit to strategically build a diverse teacher pipeline.
