About Maja Pehrson

Maja Pehrson is a Senior Research Analyst with RFA, where her contributions are shaped by her previous experiences working as a teacher and in Out of School Time (OST) programs. Maja worked as an elementary teacher in the School District of Philadelphia and in the South Bronx, and while studying at Teachers College she assisted on several research projects focused on culturally responsive education.

At RFA, Maja contributes to a variety of projects across K-12 and OST and is currently leading an evaluation of a National Science Foundation Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program. Maja is passionate about elevating youth voices to ensure all children have access to high quality and joyful educational experiences.
