Research for Action (RFA), an independent research organization, is studying the decline of Black teachers in Philadelphia district and charter schools.
Here is what you need to know!
What is this research about?
The purpose of this research is to study the root causes of the loss of Black teachers in
Philadelphia from the perspective of current AND former teachers in Philadelphia district
and/or charter schools who identify as BLACK.
What is involved?
- This study involves 60-minute interviews and focus groups.
- We invite you to participate in either an interview OR a focus group to share your perspective on the topic.
- Your personal information will remain confidential. We will not share your name or school’s name in anything we report.
Why should you participate?
Participation in this important research will improve understanding of the factors contributing to the decline of Black teachers in Philadelphia and ultimately help those in the field working to improve teacher recruitment and retention efforts.
