RFA conducted exploratory research of the early implementation of the White Williams Scholars’ Peer Academic Development (PAD) standardized curriculum. Later, during the 2004-05 school year, RFA conducted an evaluability study of this program. White-Williams Scholars has served the youth of Philadelphia since 1800 and it has provided stipends to high school students since 1917. PAD, a program expansion introduced in 1997, represents a key link to the White Williams Scholars mission: To support high academic achievement in Philadelphia public high school students of limited financial resources in order to increase their opportunities in the future.
