RFA conducted a preliminary evaluation of the Inside-Out Prison Exchange program at Temple University. For over a decade, Inside-Out had been training university faculty to teach courses within adult correctional facilities across the United States and internationally. The evaluation included the development and administration of a survey to assess how participation in Inside-Out courses affected traditional undergraduates and students incarcerated in adult correctional facilities along the following domains: Self-Awareness and Critical Thinking; Challenging Stereotypes; Connections to Community and Society; and Awareness of Institutional Structures of Power, Privilege, and Identity.
