Since 1991, AccessMatters has partnered with the School District of Philadelphia to implement the Health Resource Center (HRC) Program for youth aged 13-19 in schools throughout Philadelphia.
Currently, there are HRCs at 21 local high schools and 1 middle school offering confidential, safe spaces where youth can voluntarily receive high-quality sexual and reproductive health counseling, education, and/or services from a trained professional. Research for Action is conducting an evaluation of the Philadelphia HRC program that examines program participation and satisfaction of students served by HRC in School Year 2019-2020.
